Alpine is a somewhat small town located in the state of California. With a population of 14,696 people and three associated neighborhoods, Alpine is the 359th largest community in California. Housing costs in Alpine are among some of the highest in the nation, although real estate prices here don't compare to real estate prices in the most expensive communities in California.Unlike some towns where white-collar or blue-collar occupations dominate the local economy, Alpine is neither predominantly one nor the other.
