With 8,176 people, 3,324 houses or apartments, and a median cost of homes of $169,621, house prices in Brazil are some of the most affordable in Indiana as well as the nation.

Single-family detached homes are the single most common housing type in Brazil, accounting for 70.99% of the city's housing units. Other types of housing that are prevalent in Brazil include large apartment complexes or high rise apartments ( 10.80%), duplexes, homes converted to apartments or other small apartment buildings ( 8.82%), and a few mobile homes or trailers ( 6.86%).
